Waltzing for Debbie formed in late 2008 with the sole intent of performing classic rock tunes around Salt Lake City. Not long after, they sensed through rehearsals, a very strong musical synergy among the four of them. "Everything just seemed to fall into place" says Jeremy Hilton, vocals. "There is an enjoyable ease when we are making/performing music."

Their self titled debut album scheduled for a late December 2009 release, was recorded at the Crown Second South Studios in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was a unanimous decision by the band to record all rhythm tracks live, which adds to the raw feel of the album. Drummer Dean Maroudas and bassist Matt Harrison have been playing together since high school. "Those two know exactly what the other is feeling," says Dave Phillips, guitars.

Dave Phillips, who is nearing completion of a Masters Degree in guitar performance, laid down some near-impossible guitar work! It is obvious he had a blast playing on this album. "I knew Dave was good, says Brad Chapman, vocal coach, "but I didn't know he was that good."

Jeremy Hilton who has been singing and writing music for the past ten years brought his best vocal performance to date. "You can feel honest emotion oozing from the vocals on this album," says Matt Harrison, bass.

It was recommended we give a detailed synopsis of the story behind the music. Since music has the unique ability of taking on many different meanings, you, the listener, are invited to discover what each track means to you.

 Cheers,
